About Us

our contact

Annie and I trained hard for this race.  We live active lives and are always having fun.  We trained for a full year to compete in the YRQ 2011 but had to scratch at Little Salmon due to an injury.  We were still pleased having paddled 260km in 24 hours.  No regrets

The race, the people, the new friends, the scenery, all these things draw us back in 2012.

The training continues and we hope this blog will keep our friends up to date and share information with anyone interested in the YRQ.

Our Support Team

The support crew is as important as the paddlers.  They get us rested at Carmacks and Dawson City, prepare the boat with supplies, and look after us in all ways, giving us time to do just the river, no other worries.

Above from Nova Scotia are Bruce and Connie.  Below in the rowboat are  Lorne and Toni from Alberta.  This will be the second year these exceptional people have given their time to us and the race as volunteers!
